Relihan: Highs to reach 60s Monday

Topeka may see a record high temperature for Monday with highs reaching the mid to upper 60s.

After low clouds and morning fog lifts, the area will see a partly cloudy, breezy and very warm afternoon, 580 WIBW meteorologist Dave Relihan said.

Temperatures closer to the Nebraska state line will run about five to 10 degrees cooler. Under partly to mostly cloudy skies Monday night, lows will only fall into the lower to mid 50s. There is a slight chance for scattered showers and possibly a rumble of thunder late Monday night and into mid-morning Tuesday, Relihan said.
