Relihan: Cooler temps stay as area readies for winter storm

Tuesday’s temperatures will remain cool in preparation for the winter storm moving into the area Wednesday.

During the day, skies will be sunny and not as windy, and highs will remain in the upper 30s, said 580 WIBW meteorologist Dave Relihan. Skies will become partly cloudy Monday night with lows dropping into the upper teens.

Wednesday will cloud up quickly with snow moving into and developing late in the afternoon to the west of Topeka, Relihan said. Highs tomorrow will only make the lower 30s.
